Hired

Ok lets take a hypothetical situation here, say you and two other co-workers are in charge of doing interviews for two job positions , along with a person from HR, after all the interviews you and your two co-workers have to pick two people for the two positions that are open and you cannot leave the room until you made a choice, now you have two names picked, first person to fill position A , you are then told by the person from HR you cannot pick that person because they have already been chosen as first pick for a different job. Now mind you This person hasn NOT been approved for hire or hired yet, is just a first pick. And you are told you have to chooses someone else. Ok so now back to two picks instead of just on, suggestion first pick for position B , uh you cannot pick person B because they are not an enrolled band member from xyz reservation, they are from abc and the "powers that be" state only abc enrollees may be chosen,, but candidate B is the most qualified, has the experience, knowledge, skills and certifications as well is ALREADY doing the job,
HR....Well... You can list this person but they don't stand a chance of being hired....
I state well just write down that this individual IS MORE QUALIFIED than any of the ABC APPLICANTS. , so HR person writes down some notes what exactly ...I do not know then we pick the next candidate who is from abc to partly make them happy and partly because we have no choice other than the bottom of the barrel picks.

I inform my director and supervisor about what happened, they flip out and my supervisor goes up to HR to find out whats going on, director of HR states they were wrong in denying our first A slot and this person is indeed eligible for being hired, as for B slot first pick from xyz no we only hire people from abc, my supervisor then points out their approach in this policy and gives several recent hires as examples he states he wants both A and B as his first choices and if they are NOT there will be hell to pay, well today was the day of the decision making by the powers that be and nobody bothered to tell our supervisor he was on the addenda to state the choices and argue his choices, so the picks are made WITHOUT HIS input and the people at HR get who they want hired, and guess what folks choice B was NOT picked , but then again neither was anyone from abc, instead they picked someone from DEF.... Once again proving hypocrisy in their unwritten policy of only choosing people from ABC and the problem with DEF.... compare resumes, applications, and responses to questions and XYZ blew DEF out of the waters, So folks you wonder how come there are so many problems with state and federal government ... well here is a example of what happens in the real world.....of course this is just a hypothetical situation and a figment of the writers imagination......after THINGS like this cant Really Happen now, CAN THEY?
