Bayfield

Ah yes once again the Weekend before the Apple Festival trip over to bayfield, Wi. Provided good times, a fun environment and great foods. The usual stop in Port Wing at the gas station/convince store provided a box of smoked salmon necks, then a stop in Red Cliff at Petersons for some smoked trout and whitefish . Then off to Bayfield, and actually it was quite a very busy day, partly cloudy, fairly warm, an excellent day to watch the boats from the dock and do a bit of shopping. As for the shopping I scored two nifty clay cookie presses from Norway, one a Viking ship the other a Viking Warrior, then off to the orchards to pick our own apples, among the score, fresh prunes, pears, and concord-like grapes. A side trip to Ashland for dinner then back to Wood City. Now time to start peeling some apples ta dry.
