I mean really where else can one find the opportunity to bid on the chance to party with some pornstars? or how about an old Periscope from a decommissioned Russian/Soviet Submarine9never know when one of those would come in handy). Then there's the endless Bobbleheads to add to your collection. See something for everyone. My how this site has changed our lives forever, and I am no exception. Bear with me as I tell the tale of how EBay has influenced my life, first off I thank you for adding many a cd, dvd and book to my growing collection. I also thank you for the thneeds I could live without, such as old Soviet and Chinese posters, the cool looking pith hats I have picked up here and there among other trinkets.
However this relationship is not always as rosy as it seems, sure I get upset and bad mouth you when I don't bid high enough or for whatever reason don't bid because I am "going to go online later and bid" only to loose out on a rare music cd or book. Of course the crackdown on "Bootlegs" is enough to drive one to ...well we won't go there. But what REALLY burns me up is when I came across a rare Manu Chao dvd. Now the seller (lossociosdeldvd@hotmail.com)stated it was "regionwide" now not hearing this term before I was assuming(I know first mistake never assume we all know what that gets us) he meant it was "regionfree" or"zone free number 0" which means that this disk will play in ANY country on ANY dvd player. And just to be sure I emailed him and asked him what did you mean regionwide? and would this disk play in the USA region/zone 1 NTSC format, he emailed me back and said yes it will play in your country with no problem.

Great!! I though I struck gold, so I go online and use the "buy it now" option for just $1.00 more than the opening bid price. I check out with paypal and now I wait the delivery. A few weeks later, actually it seemed like months at the time, my package is delivered, I anxiously rip it open and my first observation, a poor color copy of a cover in the case WARNING WARNING I right away I think a DVD-R NOT an original silver disk "officially released" so I open up the case and sure enough, a DVD-R, Now I don't have anything against a DVD-R but at least let your potential customers know ahead of time and give them a price break. So I see my gold nugget turning to silver, Finally I make it home and run to the dvd player turn the tv on and start the player........................nothing ............................then a message the disk cannot be read, ok ok keep calm take it out and place in the new less than a month old dvd-r/pc-rom player, yeah that's it i'tll work this time............................"incompatible disk" by this time I don't know if I am going to scream or cry, but wait last attempt, try the computer yeah that's the ticket, I dash for the computer, place the disk in and ..........................................same thing no such luck. angerly I go online and contact the seller and go thru the how I first e mailed him about if this was compatible and how the disk don't work as well as how he don't list it as a dvd-r , his reply he will send another disk perhaps a glitch during recording. I receive the disk and same problem, I then email him and he tells me he will only give me partial refund NOT FULL REFUND, and he wants the disks back first. I try my luck with EBay and Paypal, they send me a message informing me that they are really sorry about my case but.....screw U we're not gonna help you.
WHY? because my total for the transaction was $24.00 and they only get involved and give a refund if the total is $25.00 or higher! AHHHH scammed big time so for now my EBay/Paypal relationship is HATE HATE HATE. So will I kiss and makeup and go back to EBAY? what are you stupid? of course I will. But they and their policies still suck, as for the fucking asshole who won't refund my money, I'll be looking for you buddy yeah I'll be looking for you and make your life HELL.

Should We Stay or Should We Go?

Now after listening to countless programs the past two weeks dealing with Iraq and the issue of is this a Civil War or just "Violence" that COULD turn into a Civil War.
I ask myself Just what WOULD Dumbsfeld consider A Civil War, 1000 dead per day? 10,000 dead per day? And King George keeps ranting about how if we cut and run things will get worse for our country, DUH if you idiots would have listened to the "REAL EXPERTS" you would have realized this BEFORE invading a sovereign Nation that DID NOT pose an immanent thereat to us. But what burns me up is how they continue to use sneaky taticts to keep troops in active duty for longer periods of time, and YET I ask myself " where the fuck are their kids" If this is such a just cause and a "Crusade" that needs to be fought and won, they WHY are they Not risking their lives for their country? Guess they must take after dear old dads way too much. "Duck and Dodge" is the name of the Republican Game

My Solution? The time has come and gone once again and the Carlton County Fair is just a memory, the favorite of county fairs and said to be the 3rd largest in the state, although, I confess I have not attended #1&2 yet(the State Fair don't count) anyhow I was seriously slacking this year and didn't get any award winning produce or dry beans and peas entered nor any pictures this year. So the Fair goers truly missed out on some unique and funky awards this time around.

Now for years I along with a few friends talked about the" Sleeping Giant" that most people in this country just laughed off, Now considering where most of our stuff is made, who has large sums of our dollar and could throw our financial situation into the dumpster with a snap of their fingers if I were "in the house" I'd start worrying, after all not only is our export a deficit but look at our military. Seriously folks could we fight a major war in two or three locations at this time? With the chickenhawks in power I think Bolivia or even Cuba is starting to sound pretty welcoming these days. After all who's gonna watch our back? England? Saudi Arabia? (until there is a coup and the Royalty find their heads rolling across the oil soaked sands ) I guess we could always count on Grenada, Remember how we marched in and saved that country from the evil dangers of Castro? They OWE US. Forget Mexico too may of their citizens are here working in our five star hotels and restaurants, casinos etc. making less than minimum wage so they can't take up arms, and if we do get nasty with China Does this mean that Walmart will go out of business?

Wild Petunia from Ecuador, this is 1 of 2 strains that all our F-1 Hybrids were born from folks, these plants are Not compact and tend to sprawl out, flowers can charge color also they can go from purple to a bluish then pinkish then white I have had all colors on the plant at the same time quite interesting.

This beautiful Tobacco is some test seed I received from the Uof M to trial although I am not one normally into F-1 Hybrids I must say the color is quite impressive, however it lacks the aroma of open pollinated varieties especially the sacred Alata I grow.

Toothache plant- the leaves used to numb the mouth as well as a mouthwash /antiseptic in the tropics of the Americas (Large Leaf on right from Naranjillia an Incan fruit similar to cape gooseberry and groundcherry from solanaceae)

Lulo an ancient Incan fruit quite similar to the tomato also from the Solanaceae unlike the tomato, this plant has spines as well as the fruit encased in a spiked husk.
