Lost In A Dream

I'm lost in a dream
where my love supreme
can't find me
Like I care.......

What can I say... I'm sure everyone is this state of mind from time to time....
ok I lost my train of thought which is fairly easy for me theses days, and no folks I'm not munching fungi, or spiny green flesh, or artistically colored squares of paper...Perhaps a time long gone .....I know truly understand the true meaning of" You Run and You Run to Catch Up With The Sun...But It's Sinking....And Racing Around To come Up Behind You Again...The Sun Is The Same In A Relative Way, But You're Older
Shorter Of Breath...And Closer To Death...

and so my dream? ............The both the republican's and dixicrats get their asses kicked this election year......But reality...Well the blind fools will once again vote the two party lines red vs. Blue ah how history repeats it's self, I wonder how long before another "war between the states" Hell can't be that far around the corner, after all we are pretty much alienated by the rest of the world except for those Limey Bastard Kiss Asses...

Album Review

Ok here is the all new album review, of Strangers 1800 (aka Deadbolt)
" When Men Were Men...And The Sheep Were Scared" Although this was actually released in 1998 it is a new disk to my collection and much sought after, this 6 song ep, is great for those road trips out West, or for a party music filler, or any guy feeling Macho, I feel flashbacks of blistering heat dodging tumbleweeds and endless sage brush and cactus cruising the back roads of Arizona, or dodging wandering cattle in Wyoming and Montana along a dusty road, there is enough reverb to shake year shot glass right off the bar, Bass and Drums ta kick yer ass like a Wild Mule, such memorable tracks as Rawhide , make one think they were at a concert or party with Revolting Cocks jamming to Beer Steers and Queers , Hang Em High ...I can see the rope swinging in the breeze, Good Bad Ugly, (I smell the gun smoke)Bonanza Yep Dere Folks this blows the original away like the USAF "accidentally" dropping bombs on the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan, (hey We Were in International Air Space when the collision took place in 2001) Ghost Riders....They Should Be doing a concert with REVCO!!! And Strangers Theme...Worth the price of the disk alone... The Deadbolt Boys er Strangers 1800 get five Vodka Martini (shaken not stirred) toasts out of five... They would have received six if the disk had been longer...
Too Bad Clint didn't hire these dudes to do a soundtrack...or Hollywood in general, then again their loss is our gain...

Wintertime Blues

A wonderful drive along the back roads and streets and a pit stop along Gitchigumi, listening to the waves slap up on the rocks the cold stinging of water hitting my face as the wind blows brings me back to a time gone by, another place, another life, well perhaps just another person back then, the sound of wiper blades and glow of street lights makes a surreal back drop to some trippy opiate induced or inspired film, missing is this fog and the girl on the street corner in the bus stop in the miniskirt, just pants tonight honey...... I drive home in a daze with such songs as Wintertime Blues, Here Comes The Rain, Riders On The Storm, Not Now John, The Power Of Good Bye, and Territorial Pissing guide me as a beacon guides an airline onto the tarmac and then to the gate. Autumn is a strange bedfellow, every year I dread it's coming(with the exception of the colors and Halloween) because it is to say good bye to the outdoor flora and fauna for another season, yet it gives me some inner energy that I cannot explain or put into words. Now I shall Drift off to dreamland with the soothing sounds of roger Waters and Nick Mason playing some cuts from Dark Side of The Moon and The Wall from a 2006 concert in Paris, France

Friday Jamz

OK Computer finally fixed...I think still reading emails and dumping spam sucky week sucky day but now time for a nice relaxing rainy drive and here are my pix for the week

oh I have been listening to a lot of old cd's this pat week and some newer ones and as I listen to some of the old stuff I think "what was so great about this back then?... others are like yeah this is great although how it moves me is somewhat different than before some of the artists/bands no longer exist, some still Jamming and still pumping out great tunes, others however... have either lost the "touch" or are just pumping out "shit" to appease the powers that be that control MTV and Clear Channel, on other words "They Sold Out". so this leads to my countdown Jamz for the week
Bands that were great but now pump out what I consider"shit" or have just lost the soul and feel and magic,
5. Holiday- Scorpions
4. Brinngin On The Heartbreak-Def Leppard
3. Shot In The Dark- Great White
2. Three Days- Janes Addiction
1. Spreading The Disease- Queensryche

and then there are those artist that said piss off to the manipulation and went their own way and those who only continue to get better as they age
5. Space Needle- The Church
4. A Pain That I'm Used To- Depeche Mode
3. Like It Or Not- Madonna
2. I'm On To You- Neil Diamond
1. Ocean Blue- Izzy Stradlin

and for myLunch-time Listen
Jessie James- Bruce Springteen and Seeger Sessions Band- Live Chicago 2006
On The Run/Breathe/Time- Roger Waters & Nick Mason Live Paris 2006
Storm- The Advengers Soundrack

and as I write this I'm jamming to Wintertime Blues by Paradigm (the band that never was) ah yes now time for a drive the rain calls...... perhaps some wintertime blues and here comes the rain is in order

Life Sucks...Then U Die

Well today was a sucks day at work, and the weather even more suckier, cold and rainy Just the kind of weather you don't want to go and pick beans to dry, then I get home and about 6:15 there is a knock at the door I go to open the door and see a police car, at first I thought is was someone I know, but low and behold a different officer, he hands me a summons to report to court in twenty days for child support, my wench of an ex broke our agreement to do the divorce the diplomatic way, everything fifty fifty I guess she is pissed her other son ditched her ass and stayed down in Mexico with his grandparents instead, actually I don't blame him, he's a good kid, anyhow I do support my son very well and as you see in this blog I often have more pictures of him than me, (hey I don't have an ego complex and feel I need to post my picture everywhere) anyhow, I guess unfortunately things get nasty from here on out, guess I should have listened to my former boss and just married a Russian girl instead of a damn Mexican, live and learn, my point in this rambling.... When things go bad , expect the worse and don't be a fool (hint hint) and think the ex will do things the easy and nice way, I hate to admit it but the capitalist way may be better that the socialist way ok Coolcat that's 1 up you have on me .....For now

my dedication ....Guns N Roses-Used to Love Her and to relax Roger Waters Live 2006 London ...Comfortably Numb ( a few shots of moonshinningthruthemaples helps) Thank Pacha Mama... there is salvation and the opportunity to Love Again, ah yes teachers where would the World be without teachers? so under appreciated, so under paid so under respected this one goes out to Elena and Wifey and all the Teachers of the World, the Splinkster salutes you

Ah Yesssss the Socialist women of the "Old East Europe do hold Promise"
and to those who understand where I am coming from....take a shot of whatever and well. "I wish you were here" ...Fuck Georege Therogood I prefer to drink with my friends and new friends than alone

Hired

Ok lets take a hypothetical situation here, say you and two other co-workers are in charge of doing interviews for two job positions , along with a person from HR, after all the interviews you and your two co-workers have to pick two people for the two positions that are open and you cannot leave the room until you made a choice, now you have two names picked, first person to fill position A , you are then told by the person from HR you cannot pick that person because they have already been chosen as first pick for a different job. Now mind you This person hasn NOT been approved for hire or hired yet, is just a first pick. And you are told you have to chooses someone else. Ok so now back to two picks instead of just on, suggestion first pick for position B , uh you cannot pick person B because they are not an enrolled band member from xyz reservation, they are from abc and the "powers that be" state only abc enrollees may be chosen,, but candidate B is the most qualified, has the experience, knowledge, skills and certifications as well is ALREADY doing the job,
HR....Well... You can list this person but they don't stand a chance of being hired....
I state well just write down that this individual IS MORE QUALIFIED than any of the ABC APPLICANTS. , so HR person writes down some notes what exactly ...I do not know then we pick the next candidate who is from abc to partly make them happy and partly because we have no choice other than the bottom of the barrel picks.

I inform my director and supervisor about what happened, they flip out and my supervisor goes up to HR to find out whats going on, director of HR states they were wrong in denying our first A slot and this person is indeed eligible for being hired, as for B slot first pick from xyz no we only hire people from abc, my supervisor then points out their approach in this policy and gives several recent hires as examples he states he wants both A and B as his first choices and if they are NOT there will be hell to pay, well today was the day of the decision making by the powers that be and nobody bothered to tell our supervisor he was on the addenda to state the choices and argue his choices, so the picks are made WITHOUT HIS input and the people at HR get who they want hired, and guess what folks choice B was NOT picked , but then again neither was anyone from abc, instead they picked someone from DEF.... Once again proving hypocrisy in their unwritten policy of only choosing people from ABC and the problem with DEF.... compare resumes, applications, and responses to questions and XYZ blew DEF out of the waters, So folks you wonder how come there are so many problems with state and federal government ... well here is a example of what happens in the real world.....of course this is just a hypothetical situation and a figment of the writers imagination......after THINGS like this cant Really Happen now, CAN THEY?

Fifteen Minute Hate

Ok another 911 anniversary and capitalization of Freedom and Liberty by republicans is over and done, my vulgar and anger has waned and I can think coherently err well somewhat. As I reflect I answer the questions asked... Do I feel more secure and safe today? Hell ...er I mean heck No ....Do I feel another terrorist's act is around the corner?...YES for as long as Idiots e/re/elect republicans then we are in grave danger, as for spineless coward democrats they rank not much higher fore we are NOT the center of the Universe and just as every great nation has fallen ... So are we...Unless "we take hold of the flame" and reverse the downward spiral we too shall fall just as the Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, Ottomans, and so on.

Ok so federal and state governments are as dysfunctional as tribal governments, so what is the solution? As long as we rely on the voice of the people we shall only get whispers, as for leaders we only get corporate feeders. Yeah life is good for those in the loop and for everyone else outside... there is the poop.

Down In A Hole

Now here is a great guy with class and NO EGO trip, as well as GREAT JAMZ Dave This Redhook is for YOU Party ON

To Kill or Not To Kill

As four soldiers now face the death penalty for killing 3 Iraqi men due to evidence they planned to kill someone before the attack occurred, now one of the soldiers is being charged with possession of a personal weapon while on duty. As I recall from personal experience this was SOP-standard operating procedures, to not only make sure you were well armed but also something "extra" for such an event as what took place now of course should such a situation ever see the light of day as this eventthe Brass will deny any involvement or knowledge what so ever. Oh how shit flows down hill. Not that I think these guys should get off free for what they did, but after all, there should be more than just four fish that should fry.
